Rewards
Celebrating Effort, Character and Achievement
At Harris Academy Beulah Hill, we believe that positive behaviour should be recognised, celebrated and made visible. Our rewards system is designed to reinforce the values of scholarship, compassion and aspiration — and to make doing the right thing feel great.
Our Approach
We use a multi-layered rewards framework that recognises both individual excellence and collective effort. It’s built around three key principles:
|
Principle |
What It Means |
|
Consistency |
Every student knows what earns rewards — and sees them applied fairly. |
|
Visibility |
Rewards are public, celebrated and shared across the community. |
|
Motivation |
Students are inspired to improve, not just comply — building intrinsic drive. |
How Students Are Rewarded

- Excellent effort in lessons
- Outstanding homework
- Attendance and punctuality
- Enrichment participation
Points are tracked via Bromcom and used for:

Why It Works
- Students feel seen – effort is noticed and praised.
- Positive culture spreads – rewards make good behaviour contagious.
- Parents stay informed – regular updates and visible recognition build home-school partnership.
- Self-esteem – builds pride and consistency across all students
- Inclusive – rewards open to all students for a wide range of achievements, not just academic
