Music
"Music is a world within itself With a language we all understand
With an equal opportunity For all to sing, dance, and clap their hands."
-- Stevie Wonder
Why We Study Music
At Harris Academy Beulah Hill, we provide a music curriculum that engages students in various music-making activities. Throughout their time with us students will have the opportunity to learn practical and theoretical skills, increase their confidence in performing and develop a deep understanding of how music works. In music lessons students will learn how to play the piano, drums, guitar and steel pans. They will learn how to use their voice and digital audio workstations, how to compose, arrange and appreciate music from around the world.
There are exciting opportunities for students to take part in performances and various extracurricular activities, as well as specialist 1 to 1 lessons with our music team. We are passionate about ensuring that students are given the skills, opportunities, and resources to reach their full musical potential and develop a lifelong love of music and music making.
